Tough Mudder

In October, Jason and I did a Half Mudder in Dallas. It was fun and challenging, and we had a great time together.

Before, nice and clean

After the initial 1.5 mile run, your cleanliness is over and you army crawl through the lovely mud.

My favorite obstacle, the wounded warrior.  Another moment when having a non-linebacker spouse really pays off.

The mud mile.

Near the finish line, after we had taken a dip in the lake so we were fairly clean again.

Jason rocks.  It was fun to see him ace this challenge on the first try, after watching 3 guys before him fall after the first 2 or 3 steps.

Fall 2016

First day of school!

This is the gym where Max attends his Ninja Warrior class.  Incidentally, it is the same gym where Simone Biles trains, though we are no where near as dedicate as she!

Holly's first dance class! She is taking tap and ballet.

For Jason's birthday, we made him enormous Texas shaped chocolate chip cookies.

Jason wanted to go dirt biking for his 37th birthday and he needed a riding buddy.  This is before.

This is after. The track was very sandy and after keeping my bike upright for a good hour, I finally biffed it and took a chunk out of my shin from knocking it against the foot pedal. We have since purchased proper shin guards. Did I mention yet how Jason has such an awesome and courageous wife?

Jason's birthday weekend included an overnight stay at the amazing historic Woodbine hotel and restaurant in Madisonville.

After driving past this giant Sam Houston statue, we finally decided to stop.

Max's art was chosen to be displayed in our district wide art show.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but the fish in the center was created out of clay.

For Max's 10th birthday, we took him to iFly.

Minecraft creeper cake

Max's class did so well in their fundraiser, they got to do a color run, which means running while people throw colored chalk at you. He was the cleanest of the class.

Halloween
Mallory's Rey staff was made from placing about 20 ring shaped pieces created from our new 3-D printer
over a piece of conduit. Max didn't speak the entire night while he was in costume. Holly is trying to play up her "nice" side.
