Holly's fourth and fifth week

Holly recovered from her infection a week ago. We are so happy that she is back on the Cpap machine so that I can hold her again. We mostly only had videos from this time, and not a lot of pictures. It is so cute to hear her cry!

Holly's micro-preemie diaper and a size 4 diaper.

Jason's triumphal return from the youth service activity in the rain. He adapted his motorcycle with the "Springville irrigation holster." It is a pipe secured with zip ties to hold a shovel.

Easter

Grandpa Clark made the clues for our kids' Easter baskets this year. I loved it when he did it for us when we were little!

Max had to find the succession of shapes in the back yard to find his basket. Grandpa knew he's very into shapes right now.

Mallory is trying to show that inside the chocolate egg there are a few mini candy eggs. Very cool!
Right after finding their baskets.

Holly's third week

I got to hold Holly for the first time last week. She was very squirmy through it all and made some cute squeaky cries.

Last week Holly got an infection and after 9 straight days on the Cpap breathing machine, she had to be re-intubated (this week) It's great that she was able to make it for so long! She had a rough couple of days while she was sick. She was tired and sensitive and didn't want any of the nurses to bother her. But she is in recovery now, and her last dose of antibiotics is tomorrow. Then they will get her ready to try the Cpap again.

Mallory's 6th birthday

Happy Birthday, Mallory! Mar. 13th, the day before Holly came, Mallory had her 6th birthday. She almost had a baby sister for a birthday present! She got to pick out a new kitten at the animal shelter, which she was VERY excited about. She named her Sprinkles, and then decided to give her a full name: Sprinkles Sparkles Silver Miner. Grandma Clark and I call the kitty Gabby because she never shuts up!

Here I am on the webcam, in my bed rest glory, so I could be present at Mallory's birthday celebrations.

Holly's second week

This picture was taken right after her colostomy surgery. I love that the surgeon personalized her bandage.
Mommy's first attempt at a diaper change. Not the same as a full term newborn!

The second day after her eyes opened! They're a little squinty at first.
